Frequently Asked Questions
What is the biggest difference between the Gold, Silver and Bronze Coaching Tiers? The biggest difference is in flexibility and communication... each increase as you move up a tier. Athletes should consider their requirements for both and select what is right for them. This should not be a purely budgetary decision.
I own a power meter but I do not need the Gold tier level service. Can I still be coached with power in the other tiers? Short answer is yes. The longer answer: coaching with power is a very specific skill set and requires additional time, expertise and expense from the coach. Understanding the importance of training with power, you will be given power specific training sessions. There may be an extra charge to personalized testing services and a discussion will take place up front on this topic.
What payment options are available? Payment is credit card only… TriCentric accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We have an auto-pay solution that ensures both Coach and Athlete does not have to spend valuable time and resources on bills. You want your coach to be focused on your training and recovery… not being a bill collector ;-)
Do I get to train with my coach in person? Although most local athletes will do some training with their coach, it is not part of the service you are paying for. When you hire a TriCentric coach, you are investing in a relationship with mutual accountability and coaching expertise… not a training partner. TriCentric runs a track session every Thursday and has plenty of opportunities throughout the season to work with you one on one… but we’re not here to keep you company… however fun that may be ;-)
Can I change tiers during the year? Yes… in fact it is somewhat common for an athlete to change a tier when they get more “race focused” or enter a post-race period… proper notice (30 days) is required and appreciated in any tier change.
I want to ensure my coach is not too busy for me… how many athletes does a TriCentric Coach work with? There is no set number as it depends on the tier distribution of their athlete roster and many other factors. Coaches should know their bandwidth for the work they take on and you should discuss this up front with your coach.
